About the Company
Elliscope was an aerospace research and engineering venture focused on high-altitude platform systems (HAPS) and autonomous airship flight control.
My Journey There
As co-founder and R&D Lead, I directed the telemetry and control systems engineering team.
I formulated the non-linear aerodynamics and buoyancy equations to validate long-endurance solar-hydrogen flight capabilities.
Implemented Kalman filter estimators and Model Predictive Control algorithms in Rust to simulate buoyancy correction under rapid high-altitude wind shear changes.
Key Deliverables & Architectures
- [01]Strategic R&D Leadership: Directed a multi-disciplinary venture focused on the feasibility of autonomous hybrid-energy airships; managed outsourced teams specializing in aerodynamic modeling, 3D-prototyping, and geometric optimization.
- [02]Hydrogen Energy Systems: Conducted extensive research into Hydrogen Fuel Cell integration and energy storage systems; modeled energy balance equations to achieve a theoretical flight endurance of 5+ weeks, identifying critical lift-to-weight constraints for zero-emission propulsion.
- [03]Advanced Control Systems: Performed theoretical assessments of aircraft controllability across diverse atmospheric profiles; developed adaptive control algorithms utilizing Kalman Filters and Model Predictive Control (MPC) to compensate for non-linear turbulence and buoyancy loss at altitudes of 10-12km.
- [04]Remote Sensing & Market Analysis: Evaluated the deployment of multispectral imaging systems for precision agriculture; conducted a comprehensive cost-benefit analysis against satellite-based infrastructure, leading to a strategic pivot based on capital expenditure (CAPEX) efficiency.
- [05]Prototyping & Validation: Designed and tested scale-model demonstrators to validate engineering hypotheses regarding stability and sensor integration; published technical findings and white papers within the Ukrainian Space Association.
